New construction

Fire and building codes often require that land development and construction projects meet local fire department standards for fire extinguishing systems, fire alarm systems, emergency access roads, etc. We enforce those standards in our partner cities:

The fire safety of single family homes is reviewed during the construction permit process. Additional inspections are not required.

Special event permits

The Fire Marshal provides plan review and inspection services for a variety of special events in our south Snohomish County cities.

Large public events that may require permits include:

  • Carnivals
  • Fairs and
  • Festivals

The goal is to reduce fire risks and ensure safe access and exits for both the public and emergency services personnel.
