The Fire Marshal’s office and Public Education Programs are part of the Fire Prevention Division. Our goal is community risk-reduction.

We provide Fire Marshal services for the cities of Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, and Brier.

Fire inspection and investigation services in unincorporated Snohomish County are provided by the Snohomish County Fire Marshal.

Report fire hazards

If you are concerned about a building’s fire safety, please send an email to Common issues of concern include fire lane access, flammable materials storage, and non-working fire alarms or suppression equipment.

For hazards that present an immediate threat, such as blocked emergency exits during an event with large numbers of people, call 911.
