South County Fire offers FREE home safety evaluations that include a visit from our Outreach staff to provide an assessment of fall and fire risks. 

We can also help install smoke alarms for those who cannot afford them or troubleshoot your existing alarms. 

Our team will help identify steps you can take and changes you can make to create a safer home for you or your loved ones. 

We are unable to assist with the following:

• We cannot assist with ceiling heights over 12 feet.
• We cannot assist with rewiring of hardwired smoke alarms.
• We do not have Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarms for distribution but can assist with installing if homeowner/occupant already has the alarms.
• We cannot provide smoke alarms for home resale purposes.

Visits are for residents of the South County Fire service area including the cities of Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace and parts of southwest unincorporated Snohomish County.
