We reserve the right to cancel due to extreme weather including snow, ice, and excessive heat. For school late start due to snow, we will need to reschedule.

Our basic 1-hour ACT curriculum follows industry standards, but is not a first aid or CPR certification course.

First aid and CPR certification are available locally through Lynnwood Parks and Recreation, the American Red Cross  and private vendors.

The American Heart Association certifies private training companies and also offers online first aid and CPR courses.

South County Fire encourages everyone to complete a nationally recognized first aid and CPR/AED course in addition to our ACT class.

Do you know someone who has provided lifesaving skills that are taught in our ACT First Aid & CPR Class?

You can now nominate them to be recognized by South County Fire. Submit a nomination by emailing ACT@southsnofire.org and include the full name of the person, date, and details of the save story. We will follow up with you.

First aid supplies and prescriptions to reverse opioid overdoses can be found from a variety of sources:

Antidote:  Naloxone prescriptions in Snohomish County

CPR and AED:  Most schools and libraries and many public buildings have AED devices. AEDs are available from many online vendors.

Tourniquet:  Look for a military-grade tourniquet with a windlass (metal bar) design. Best quality is around $30. Tourniquets and bleeding control kits can be found online.
