Self Service Program
South County Fire does not conduct inspections for licensed in-home childcare facilities. Daycare facilities are responsible for completing the inspection form as described in the Washington Administrative Code (WAC).
According to WAC 110-300-0170 – Fire Safety (2) An early learning provider must arrange for a fire safety inspection with a local government agency. If a local government agency is not available to conduct a fire safety inspection, a provider must inspect fire safety using the state fire marshal form.
Actions to Take
- Prepare for your self-inspection by reviewing the Home Safety Checklist.
- Complete the In-Home Childcare Facility Inspection Checklist.
- Under the DOCUMENT REVIEW section, select NO.
- The provider's signature will be the person (you) who completed the checklist.
- Mail the form to the Fire Protection Bureau (address is at the top of the form).
- Keep a copy of the form for your records.
