SCF Kids Fire Academy Week 3, Day 2: Build an Emergency Kit
Post Date:04/20/2020 10:00 AM
Build an Emergency Kit
Yesterday you learned about what a disaster is and different types of disasters. One of the steps you learned yesterday was about making a disaster plan. Building an emergency kit with supplies is part of planning for a disaster.
Make a List
Make a list five items that you would include in your emergency kit and explain why you chose those items.
Now that you’ve made a list of items you would include in your kit, using the emergency kit checklist and with an adult, go on a scavenger hunt in your own home to find supplies that you could include in your emergency kit.
Your emergency kit should have enough supplies to last 14 days for all of your family. Don’t forget to include your pets too!
